Stoughton- Elsie S. Juve, age 91, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Skaalen home in Stoughton. She was born in Lake Mills, Iowa on April 16, 1920, a daughter of the late Edwin and Lottie (Leverson) Holt. She graduated from Bethany Lutheran College. On August 6, 1944, she was united in marriage to Lloyd Juve in Lake Mills, Iowa. They farmed in Pleasant Springs Township for many years. Elsie taught in Country School for 2 years, and at Western Koshkonong Lutheran School for 2 years. She was a longtime member of Western Koshkonong Lutheran Church, and was very active in the life of the church. She is survived by her sons, Steven (Bonnie) and Frederick (Patricia) Juve; daughters, Kathleen (Dan) Dumke, Christine Bahnsen, and foster-daughter, Vicki (Jeff) Oimoen; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Joel (Marvel) Holt; sisters in law, Elaine, Loraine, and Sonora Holt; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd; brothers, Hartvick, Reuben (Virginia), Arnold, Stanley, and an infant brother, Rueben Leon. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 11:00 am at Western Koshkonong Lutheran Church, 2633 Church Rd., Cottage Grove, with the Rev. Thomas Heyn officiating. Burial at Western Koshkonong Lutheran Cemetery will follow. The family will greet friends on Tuesday, April 19th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton, and again on Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 am at church.
