Emma "Carol" Clary

Sun Prairie – Emma “Carol” Clary, age 95, died on January 30, 2025 at the Sun Prairie Senior Living Center.

Carol was born August 5, 1929 in Chicago, Il, the daughter of Peter and Myrtle Hayes. She married Roland Clary in May in 1952. She was a graduate of Portage High School and St. Mary’s School of Nursing Class of 1950. She worked for the Divine Savior Hospital in Portage and later the Sun Prairie Doctor Clinic before starting her family.

Carol is survived by children, Colleen Clary, Jane (Jeff) Nehmer, and Sharon (Doug) Davel, her grandchildren Casey (Matt), Abby (Tim), and Lucas (Katy) and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roland, her son Keith, her brothers William and Peter, and sister Alma.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at Cress Funeral Home, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie, with Fr. Michael Johnson presiding. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Carol will be laid to rest at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Cemetery. A reception will follow the services.

The family would like to thank the Sun Prairie Senior Living Center for their companionship and loving care for 12 years. Thanks also to, Agrace Hospice for their support during her final days.
