Erin Marie Kjellstrom passed away on May 9, 2020, at the age of 27, in peace and love surrounded by her loving family; Father, Doug; Mother, Sharon; and Sister, Amie. Erin was born on December 7, 1992 to Doug and Sharon Kjellstrom of Oregon. She graduated from Oregon High School in 2011, attended Madison College and then attended The Institute of Beauty and Wellness-Aveda in Milwaukee, graduating in 2015. On March 15, 2019 she became the owner of Erin Marie Artistry, her own salon, of which she was very proud. She was an amazing stylist and creative colorist and she loved and looked so forward to seeing her clients/friends to catch up on their lives and work her magic on them.
Erin always lit up every room with her presence; she had a beautiful smile and a contagious laugh. If someone was lonely or sad she would be the first one to draw them in with her kindness. She cared fiercely about those close to her and always put others first. She loved her family, her friends, all animals especially her dog and best friend Anya, music, dancing, snowboarding, and the ocean, most recently visiting and falling in love with Hawaii. She was especially close to her Gram (Oompsy) who she loved "more than all the bugs in the world." :) Erin was a deeply spiritual person with a wise old soul who lived many lifetimes in her short 27 years here on earth. She will be deeply missed by all who were blessed enough to know her and have their lives touched by her beautiful spirit. We will continue to feel Erin's presence, especially on the sunny days, which were her favorite. <3
Erin is predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Bill Marshall and paternal grandparents Marge and Elving Kjellstrom. She is survived by her parents Doug Kjellstrom (Anne Tilley); Mother Sharon Marshall (Jim Venden); big sister Amie Kjellstrom; maternal Grandmother Mary Marshall; Aunt Sue (Lyle) Nichelson and cousin Lauren Nichelson in Fort Worth, Texas; her Uncle Denny Kjellstrom and cousins Kim (Kjellstrom) Machotka, Ryan Kjellstrom and families; Uncle Gary Kjellstrom (Aunt Renee) and cousins Lynn Hall and Jessica Kjellstrom and families; and Uncle Randy Kjellstrom and cousins Joe, Allison, Alex and Isabella Kjellstrom and many close friends who meant the world to her.
A beautiful memorial service was held for Erin on May 15, 2020 at Cress Funeral Home where afterwards family and friends scattered some of her ashes in Lake Mendota under the bright and beautiful sunshine, a day which she would have loved. Please consider making a donation to Key to Happiness Rescue, where she rescued her precious Anya, or your favorite animal rescue organization, in Erin's name. There will be a celebration of Erin's life this Summer when we are able to gather in a large group.
"To burst embers of inspiration into a world greatly looking for it. Please be kinder to one another... nicer ya know." PWT <3
