Erna M. Grefsheim

Stoughton- Erna M. Grefsheim age 94, passed away on Friday April 22, 2011 at Skaalen Home. She was born August 24, 1916 daughter of Ernest and Marie Jorgensen. On October 30, 1937, Erna married Howard O. Grefsheim in Dubuque, Iowa. She worked for Skaalen Home in the activity department for many years. Erna was a member of First Lutheran Church and active in Circle #17. She is survived by four children, Margie Anderson, Howard J. (Sandra) Grefsheim, Betty (Richard) Kleven and Becky (Harvey) Monson; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; brother, Gordon (Ruth) Jorgensen; many relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Howard; son-in-law, Thayne Anderson; and granddaughter, Terri Gorman. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, April 25, 2011 at Skaalen Home Chapel, with Rev. James Koza and Rev. Richard Halom officiating. Burial will follow in Lutheran Cemetery South. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon, following the burial, at Skaalen. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of the service Monday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Skaalen Sunset Home. A special thank you to the staff of Skaalen Home, especially Heritage Center and Garden Glen.
