Tina passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at the age of 91.Â

Â Â She was born on March 11, 1918, the daughter of Abel and Sophia (Perez) Palacios, in Laredo, Texas.Â

Â Â Tina married Paul Genna on February 5, 1945. He preceded her in death in 2003, after 58 years of marriage.Â

Â Â Tina is survived by her daughter, Julie (Jeff) Berg of Verona; grandchildren, Jason Berg of Los Angeles, CA, Jennifer (Brandon) Cooper of Verona, Jay, Lisa and Chad Alvarado of Sun Prairie; and 3 great-grandchildren, Tiffany, Taylor and Jasmine.

Â Â She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul V. Genna; Â 3 sons, Mathew Alvarado, Paul Genna, Jr., and Joseph Genna; a sister, Evangelina (Lina); and brother, Demetrio (Mecho).

Â Â We would like to thank all of the staff at Willow Pointe in Verona for the great care that she received.

Â Â In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dane County Humane Society, 5132 Voges Road, Madison, WI 53718.

Â Â Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 5313 Flad Ave., Madison with Father David J. Greenfield presiding. Family will greet friends at church from 10 am until the time of service. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
