Esther Teske

Sun Prairie - Esther Teske, age 83, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at the Sun Prairie Health Care Center.

Esther was born on August 23, 1928 in Baraboo, WI, the daughter of Steve and Clara (Sebring) Moore. Esther married Carl Teske on July 13, 1961 in the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.

Esther worked for Wisconsin Bell in Baraboo prior to moving in 1958 to Sun Prairie. She then transferred to the Madison office and retired after 34 years of service.

Esther was a longtime member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Sun Prairie and she enjoyed working outside her home, especially working in the yard.

She is survived by her husband, Carl of Sun Prairie; a brother, Robert (Sharon) Moore of Evansville; a sister, Helen (Rex) Ziemke of Waukesha and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Franklin Moore in March of 1968.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can directed to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Sun Prairie.

Funeral services will take place at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 300 Broadway Drive, Sun Prairie on Monday, October 10, 2011 at 11:00 AM. A visitation will also be held at the church on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Pastor Charlie Brandt and Pastor Steve Vera will officiate. Burial will conclude at the Sun Prairie Memory Gardens.
