Ethel Koranda

Ethel S. Koranda, age 95, of Waunakee, formerly of Milwaukee, passed away on Monday, Feb. 20, 2012.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles. Ethel was employed by the City of Milwaukee as a public health nurse prior to her retirement in 1971. Ethel loved family time, golfing, gardening, but especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her three children, Charles (Mary Pat) Koranda, Lillian (Richard) Fahrenkrug and Mary Jo Koranda; grandchildren, Jennifer (Scott) Estness, Laura (Chris) Knutson, Anne (Eric) Knudson, and Joseph (Katie) Fahrenkrug; and great-grandchildren, Brianna and Hailey Estness, and Emmet and Oliver Knudson.

A celebration of Ethel's life will be held on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, at ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST CATHOLIC CHURCH, 209 South Street, Waunakee. A visitation from 10 a.m to 11:30 a.m at the church will be followed by a Memorial Mass at 11:30 a.m.
