MADISON
Eugene Hurley Borman passed away peacefully Sunday, January 22, 2012 at age 81. Eugene was born in Black Earth on June 17, 1930 the son of the late Cecil and Mary (Shackelton) Borman. He was united in marriage to Loretta Rogers on June 7, 1958. He worked as a meat cutter for 56 years. He began his career at age 25 working at Bluteau's on State Street and more recently at Kent Kopps on Monroe and retired from Regent Street Market Coop. in April of 2011. He enjoyed playing cards, fishing, visiting with customers and spending time with family and traveling to Las Vegas.
Eugene is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Loretta; children, Kelly (Jeff Melvin) Borman of Madison, and Patsy (Dan) Maxwell of Las Vegas; his cat Annie; brothers, Michael (Janet) Borman, Robert Borman; and sister, Kate Orth. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, William (Bev) Borman and Thomas (Cathy) Borman.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2012 from 3 until 5 p.m. at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison.
