Eugene Kroeger

Janesville- Eugene Kroeger, age 71, passed away peacefully on Thursday August 11, 2011 surrounded by his family. He was born in Camp Douglas on August 23, 1939 the son of James and Mary (Berendes) Kroeger. On May 29, 1965 Gene married Donna Disrud. He enjoyed bird watching, gardening and golfing, was an avid sports fan and had a passion for the Badgers, Packers and Brewers. Gene's greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Donna; two children, Debra (Ray) Gross and Todd (Jill); three grandchildren, Jared, Payton, and Dylan: four siblings, Lorraine Dwyer, Jack (Renata), Caroline (Dave) Wagner and Wayne (Julie); and many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Conrad. A memorial Mass will be held at 11 am on Monday August 15, 2011 at St. Ann Catholic Church with Monsignor Gerard Healy officiating. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon immediately following Mass. Friends may greet the family from 9:30 am until the time of service.
