Eugene Williams

Madison - Eugene (Gene) Williams, at the age of 64, passed away peacefully at his home in Madison due to an apparent heart attack on Thursday June 9th, 2016. Gene was born into extremely humble beginnings in South Carolina on June 20th 1951. As an adult, Gene worked his way to the state of Wisconsin where he met his wife of thirty six years Elizabeth Wood-Williams. Together the settled in Madison, Wisconsin and raised their only child Aaron Isaac Williams. Gene worked many years on the University of Wisconsin- Madison Campus and was able to fulfill his dream of building a home for his family on the north side. Gene enjoyed fishing and collecting antiques and was known for his love of playing Euchre. He was an avid Badger and Packer fan and more than anything he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Eugene is survived by his wife Elizabeth Wood-Williams of Madison, Son Aaron (Kelly)Williams of Deforest, Three Grandchildren; Trenton of Oregon , WI. and Tanner and Kyia Williams of Deforest and his Great Grand Daughter Addalyn Foust Williams of Stoughton. Eugene is also survived by his siblings in South Carolina Sara Mae, James Alphonse and Eddie Lee. Those proceeding him in death were his parents Isaac and Mamie and his siblings Elijah, Isaac Jr. and his older sister Betty who raised him.

At Gene's request there will be no services. The family will celebrate his life with a private gathering this weekend on what would have been his 65th birthday.
