Florence Thompson

SUN PRAIRIE - Florence J. Thompson, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at Agrace HospiceCare, Fitchburg. She was born on February 10, 1941, in Waukon, Iowa, the daughter of Leroy and Laura (Erickson) Severson. She was united to the "sparkle in her life," Charles J. Thompson, on Nov. 7, 1959, in West Bend, and they enjoyed 45 years of marriage. Florence was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her pride and joy in her life were her children and grandchildren, they were always on her mind, always in her heart. She had a passion for fishing, gardening flowers and playing the slot machines. Florence and Charles owned and operated the "Red Bus" produce stand every fall for many years in Sun Prairie on Main St., and she was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Sun Prairie.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Charles III (Diane) of Sun Prairie, Jeffrey (Nancy) of Deerfield, James (Gloria) of Waterloo, Steven (JulieAnn) of Cambridge, Richard (Vanessa) of Beaver Dam, and Kristy (Scott) Endres of Sun Prairie; her beloved grandchildren, Melissa, Bradley, Ryan, Troy, Kaelynn and Callie; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, Harold, Laverne, Roger, Chuck Severson and sister Lillian Soyk.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at 11:30 a.m. at BETHLEHEM LUTHERAN CHURCH, 300 Broadway Drive, Sun Prairie, with Pastor Charlie Brandt and Pastor Steve Vera officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:00 am until the time of service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agrace HospiceCare or Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Agrace for the love and compassionate care.
