Fred Laufenberg, age 58, of Waunakee died suddenly on Monday, November 19, 2012 while deer hunting in Iowa County. He was born on December 4, 1953 to Ray and Ann Laufenberg. He married Lynn Hellenbrand on February 1, 2001. Fred worked for Marshall Erdman's for many years and was presently employed by the Waunakee School System. He enjoyed landscaping, building ponds, and was a master gardener. He died doing what he loved, deer hunting.
He was a loving husband, father & brother to his wife, Lynn; children, Jake (fianc� Danielle), Tami and Eric; step- children, Nicole and Jacob Wipperfurth; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Art and Phyllis Hellenbrand; and his brothers and sisters, Edith Laufenberg, Barb (Mitch) Adler, Elaine Laufenberg, Vera Laufenberg, Paul (Lisa) Laufenberg and John (Nancy) Laufenberg; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Ann Laufenberg.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church, 209 South Street, Waunakee. Monsignor James Gunn will officiate. Friends may call at the Winn-Cress Funeral Home, 5785 Hwy Q, on Friday, November 23, 2012 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friends may also call at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
