Fred H. Rogers, age 93, died Thursday, December 10, 2009 in his home.   He was born September 5, 1916, in York Township, WI, the son of  Fred and Winifred (Pierce) Rogers, Sr.  Prior to retiring, Fred had been employed in the City of Madison Streets & Sanitation Department and MSCR for over 30 years.   Prior to that, he was employed by Celon Company of Madison for 9 years.   Fred was a veteran of WW II having served in the US Air Force in the South Pacific and Japan.   He was a member and past Commander of VFW   Post 1318.   On January 21, 1948, Fred was united in marriage with Patricia LaMore in Rockford, IL.  
Survivors include a son Richard (Karen) Rogers of Madison, 2 daughters: Jean Rogers   & Judy Triggs both of Madison and 4 grandsons: Thomas and Jason Rogers, Bryan Gage and David Triggs.   Fred was preceded in death by his wife Patricia on July 15, 2003, his parents and 1 sister.  
Services will be held at 12:00 pm Monday, December 14, at the CRESS FUNERAL HOME, where friends may call from 10 am until time of service.   Reverend Patrick Siegler will officiate and burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens.   In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials in Fred's name.
