Freddie Mae Hill

September 8, 1939 — December 24, 2024

Madison

Freddie Mae Hill, our beautiful angel, is now in her heavenly home rejoicing with her Dad, Mother, her daughter Shelly and many other family members. They have come together to say, welcome Freddie Mae, God has a special place for you in heaven.

Our angel, Freddie Mae, was born on a beautiful fall day, September 8, 1939. She was the fourth daughter born into a family of three older sisters and one older brother. Freddie's parents welcomed their daughter with joy and gratitude for another healthy baby girl.

In time, Freddie Mae married, lived in various cities with her family before returning to Madison where she lived and worked. During her years of employment, the one that brought her the most happiness and satisfaction was working at Georgia O'Keeffe Middle School, where she encountered a friendly working environment, friendly staff and two co-workers who later became her close friends. Eventually, she retired from O'Keeffe.

Freddie Mae enjoyed life to its fullest. Her days were filled with various activities, but most of all, Freddie Mae loved chatting with her sisters, brother and friends. She also liked watching old movies, westerns, and tuning in to QVC, MSNBC, and CNN.

Our dear Freddie Mae was loved by many people. If you were fortunate enough to have her for a friend, you were indeed very fortunate. She could make you laugh, cry, entertain you with her sense of humor, her way of looking at the world and its complexities, debate and try her best to convince you to see the world as she sees it and share her love in so many ways. Freddie was loved by many who have known her and cherished their friendship throughout the years.

All who knew Freddie will miss all that she offered to the world. She was one in a million. When you were in her presence, it was always a special time to savor and remember as a memorable moment in your life.

May you rest forever in the glory of God's love, Freddie Mae.
