Garret Trinrud

Madison - Garret Duane Trinrud, age 43 passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, November 19, 2017. He was born on April 8, 1974, the son of Dennis and Joan (Wickline) Trinrud in Janesville, Wisconsin.

In 1992, Garret graduated from Waunakee High School. He went on to attend UNLV, Edgewood College and completed his college career with a bachelor of science degree as a registered nurse from Herzing University. He devotedly provided quality loving care. This was his life passion. Garret was a wonderful man and father. His smile and laughter could fill any room. His great sense of humor, magnetic blue eyes and a giving heart were all characteristics that made Garret the amazing individual he was. He left us far too soon and will be dearly missed by all who know and love him.

Garret was survived by his two daughters, August Sky and Raina Rose; soul mate and closest friend, John Sims; his parents, Dennis and Joan Trinrud; and his brother, Billy (Angela) Breitenstein Jr. He is also survived by many other loving family and friends.

Garrett was preceded in death by his brother Gabriel Trinrud.

Funeral services will be held at PEACE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 701 South Century Avenue, Waunakee, WI 53597 on Monday, November 27, 2017 11:00 am. A visitation will be held CRESS FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICE, 3325 East Washington Avenue, Madison, WI 53704on Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm and at PEACE LUTHERAN CHURCH, WAUNAKEE on Monday, November 27, 2017 from 10:00 am until the time of service. Graveside services will follow at Vienna Cemetery in Waunakee.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Garret to Madison Children's Museum, 100 North Hamilton Street, Madison, WI 53703, Madison Museum of Contemporary Arts, 227 State Street, Madison, WI 53703 and Unity Pointe-Meriter Foundation Inc., 202 South Park Street, Madison, WI 53715.
