Gary Heiman

SUN PRAIRIE- Gary L. "Heimy" Heiman, age 61, passed away on Friday, March 30, 2018.

Gary was born on July 29, 1956 in Columbus to Wayne and Marcella (Scheel) Heiman. He went on to graduate from Sun Prairie High School, Class of 1975. After high school, he worked various jobs all revolving around the farming life. For the past 28 years, Gary took great pride in being a dedicated employee to McKay Nursery in Waterloo.

Gary has always lived his life with a positive attitude and faced all his obstacles with a great smile, a strong heart, and a will to overcome.

Gary is survived by his wife Diane Black; children Tiffany (Dang), Melissa, and Samantha (Jared) Grunwald; granddaughters Alexis and Hayley; step-children Jonathon Black and Courtney Black. He is further survived by his siblings Debi (George) Stiemke, Dale Heiman, Marlene (Richard) Schepp, and Larry (Cheryl) Heiman; and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends. Gary was preceded in death by his first wife Marie Heiman and his parents Wayne and Marcella Heiman.

Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at the Cress Funeral Home, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie, WI 53590. Visitation will continue from 9:30-11:00 AM on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Sun Prairie United Methodist Church, 702 North Street, Sun Prairie, WI 53590 with a service beginning at 11:00 AM.
