Gary A. Storlid

January 2, 1941 — July 7, 2008

Deerfield- Gary A. Storlid, age 67, died on Monday, July 7, 2008 at the Ellen and Peter Johnson HospiceCare Center.  He was born in Cambridge on January 2, 1941 to Alice Jane Storlid.  Gary worked as a paramedic at the Williams Air Force Base in Arizona until its closure in 1993, at which time he returned to Wisconsin and purchased and operated Kurt's Never Inn Tavern in Deerfield.  He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman, hunter and golfer.  Gary is survived by three children, JoEllen (Jon) Currie, Scott (Karla) Storlid and Eric (Jennifer) Storlid; 13 grandchildren; siblings, Bobby Feuling, John Feuling, Cindy Marino, Mary Navis, Michael Feuling, Tom Feuling and Steven Feuling; numerous relatives and friends.  A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, July 10, 2008 at Olson-Holzhuter-Cress Funeral Home, 201 Bue Street, Deerfield.  A Celebration of Gary's Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 11, 2008 at St. Paul's Liberty Lutheran Church, 3494 Oak Park Road, Deerfield, with Rev. Daniel Anderson officiating.  In lieu of flowers donations are encouraged to HospiceCare Foundation Inc. Madison, WI.
