Gary Tucker

Madison – Gary Harold Tucker passed away on Monday November 30, 2020 at the UW Hospital - Madison.

Gary was born on July 5, 1949 at Madison General Hospital in Madison, WI. to his parents Marian Jean (Moan) Tucker and Stanley F. “Stub” Tucker.  He graduated from Madison East High School in 1967.

Gary worked as a truck driver for many years and also moved furniture for a moving company.  He even assisted moving the “Huge” Eagle to the “New” Eagles Club location on Bartillon Dr. in Madison.  He retired from Capital Center Foods as a nighttime manager.

Gary was an active member of the Madison Eagles Club #623, joining in 1967 after graduating from high school.  He spent many years of service to the Club, serving as past president, “Chef”, was on the bowling team, and traveled to the many events and conventions.  Gary loved to play cribbage and sing karaoke at the Eagles Club.

He enjoyed camping, grilling out, cooking, cheering on the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Cubs.

Gary is survived by his daughter Robin (Brian) Ingraham, his son Gary S. (Rebecca) Tucker; and three grandchildren; his ex-wife Linnea Tucker; his friends from the Eagles Club- Madison; Wilson’s Bar & Grill – Madison; the Parkside Pub – McFarland; and his very special friends Scott Welling and Lisa Maves.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents Marian Jean (Moan) Tucker and Stanley F. “Stub” Tucker; his wife Ellen “Ellie” Mae Tucker; and his brother Stanley Tucker.

Gary will be remembered by his “famous” barbeque ribs, his laugh, and sense of humor.

A big thank you to the staff at the McFarland Villa Assisted Living Center that cared for Gary, keeping him comfortable, well fed, and happy.

There will be no funeral services due to Covid-19.
