Hamilton, Gayl M.

Middleton:  Gayl M. Hamilton, age 51, passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021 at home surrounded by family.  She was born December 28, 1969 in Florida.  She graduated from the University of Buffalo, then went on to the University of Alabama Birmingham Medical School to earn her MD. She worked as a physician in the Madison area for over 25 years. Gayl was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.

Gayl is survived by her significant other, Christopher Alberts, children; Samantha (Elias) Motz, Nicole Glowacki, and Joseph Glowacki, Amanda (Jeff) Dye and Maggie Hamilton, her mother, Anita (Vance) Hinebaugh, grandmother, Elisa Beliso Hart, siblings Carol (Brian) Chowning, Clint (Dawn) Corneliussen, Christa (Tom Johnston) Tibbals, and Lori (Gabe) Pitt.  She is further survived by aunts and uncles; Tom (Vicki) Burrows, Tina (Joe) Lavendar, Jack (Laurie) Burrows, and nieces and nephews; Kayla Marie Chowning, Chase Chowning, Kylee Corneliussen, Austin Corneliussen, Kaitlyn Tibbals, Taylor Ann Tibbals, Anderson Pitt, and Maryn Pitt.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at the Cress Center, 6021 University Ave., Madison, WI  53705.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 3, 2021 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 602 Everglade Dr., Madison WI  53717, with Fr. Bart Timmerman Presiding.  The family will greet guests from 10:00 am until the time of Mass at the Church.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations in Gayl’s name to Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance, https://ocrahope.org/.
