George Lackner

CROSS PLAINS - George J. Lackner, age 81, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, June 1, 2012.

He was born on June 24, 1930, in Madison, the son of Alois and Katharina Lackner.

George was proceeded in death by his parents and his brother, Alan J. (Donna) Lackner.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Lackner: his children; Paul (Lori) Lackner and Lisa (Brad) Humphrey: and his grandchildren; Justin Lackner, Kristin (Baird) Lackner-Buckingham, Emily Lackner, Kyle Humphrey, Joseph Humphrey, Carina Humphrey and Jennie Humphrey. A proud member of the National Guard, George will be greatly missed by his family and friends and remembered for his skill and love of the work he did as a tile contractor. He was also a great lover of nature and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
A private family service was held at Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum on Monday June 4th. The family would like to thank the caring staff at Agrace HospiceCare for their support during his illness.
