Georgene 'Jo' Quam

Georgene Jo' A. Quam, age 86, passed away at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison on Friday, January 15, 2010.   She was born in Stoughton on July 17, 1923 a daughter of George and Gilma (Dahle) Erdahl.   On June 19, 1943, she was united in marriage to Alfred J. Quam.   She was an avid bowler and golfer, loved to bake and spend time with friends and family.   She graduated from Stoughton High School and was very proud of receiving her Girl's Athletic Association letter.   She loved her sheltie dog Kirby, followed the Badgers and Packers and enjoyed delivering her annual Christmas plates each year.   She is survived by a son, Greg (Claudia) Quam; 2 grandsons, David and Andrew; a sister, Marie Weum; and nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by her husband; a sister Irene; and 2 brothers, Peter and Harvey. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 18, 2010 at 11:00 am at Olson-Holzhuter-Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton.   Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.   The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of service.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in care of the family.  Special Thanks to the staff at Stoughton and St. Mary's Hospitals
