Gerald Jon "Jerry" Beckman

Gerald Jon “Jerry” Beckman, age 83, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2023.  He was born on November 29, 1940 to Milo and Grace (Salava) Beckman.   He was a lifelong resident of Madison where he met and married his high school sweetheart Elaine (Jacobson) on May 11, 1962.   Over 61 years together they traveled across the country as Jerry learned the printing trade, had a family, and settled back in Madison to build a successful business (Graphic Masters and Graphic Ventures).    Jerry always had a story to tell, but pull up a chair - it might take a while.   He enjoyed time with family and friends, especially the large thanksgiving gatherings where he led the way in Turkey carving and Bingo calling.

He is survived by his wife Elaine and 3 children, Jon (Meredith), Mark (Suzanne), and Virginia (Robert) Homan and his grandchildren, Benjamin, Tyler (Zuzanna), Jacob, Samantha, and Amanda.

“This part of my journey ends, I go in peace, I go in love, and I go knowing that those left behind will continue to leave the world a better place.   A lot more could be said but that would take another lifetime…till we meet again.” – Jerry
