Madison - Gerald J. Robinson (Jerry), age 75, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2015 at UW Hospital in Madison. He was born on August 29, 1940 to William and Gertrude (Rusk) Robinson in Milwaukee. Gerald is survived by his two daughters Colleen and Valerie, his granddaughter Salacia, his brother Bill and his sister Gail.
Jerry was the ultimate "people person." He was a teacher, a salesman, a general manager, nursing home ombudsman, and one of the best people most of his friends have ever known. He emphasized the enjoyment of life and approaching things with wonder.
Jerry enjoyed fishing for muskie, traveling - especially with his daughters in Europe and northern Wisconsin, being with family and being outdoors. Architecture, natural landscapes and water fascinated him. He was an extremely dedicated father, who treasured his daughters and granddaughter more than anything else in this world. They are at peace with the gift of a complete and loving relationship with him.
In his last ten years, he fought Alzheimer's disease and slowly began to lose parts of himself that we typically consider essential. To the very end, this disease did not take away Jerry's ability to give to others. He shared smiles that brightened the room every single day of his life. He is greatly missed, by old and new friends alike.
