Geraldine E. “Gerrie” Schultz, age 77, passed away after a brief illness, peacefully in her sleep on Monday, February 3, 2020, in Madison. She was born on March 17, 1942, in Waunakee, the daughter of Albert and Lucille (Leidig) Maerz. Gerrie was united in marriage to Darrell Schultz at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Madison, on June 3, 1961.

Gerrie was a loving wife and mother. She was married to Darrell for 53 years, and she took pride in raising her son David. She will be remembered for her love of the ocean and Elvis Presley.

Gerrie is survived by her son, David Schultz; mother Lucille Maerz; sister Shirley Scott; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Darrell and father Albert.

The family will be planning a gathering in the spring.
