Gladys I. DePolis

DODGEVILLE -- Gladys I. DePolis, age 99, passed away on January 6th at the Upland Hills Medical Center in Dodgeville. She was born June 22, 1911 in Madison, Wisconsin, the daughter of Charles and Estelle Friday.   She attended school in Madison and graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Library Science. She married Louis A. DePolis on August 18th, 1940. They lived in Madison and various other cities in Michigan, Illinois and Pennsylvania during Louis' business career.   She and her husband resided in Menominee, Michigan from 1969 until they moved back to Madison in 2000. She is survived by her son Stephen and wife Sherrill of Crystal Lake, Illinois, a daughter Susan Hart and husband David of Avoca, Wisconsin. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Kristine Storlie, Lisa Gomez, Brye Vankerk and Michael DePolis and six great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 11:00 am on February 5th at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Way Road in Madison. An inurnment will be at Roselawn Cemetery in Madison.   In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Gladys' name be given to a charity of choice.
