Gladys M. Falci

Madison- Gladys M. Falci, age 90, passed away peacefully Monday, September 15, 2008.   Gladys was the only child of Alvin and Hattie (Conrad) Christiansen and was born August 17, 1918, in Madison.   She graduated from East High School. After high school she became a nurse's aide.   Soon after she met her husband Michael J. Falci, Jr. Gladys and Mike married on May 28, 1938. Together they owned and operated Michael's Shoe Service on lower State Street for over 40 years.   She loved genealogy, crossword puzzles, cooking, and most of all her children and grandchildren.   Gladys is survived by her daughter, Pat (Bill) Wellentin of Fitchburg, WI; her son, Jerry (Sue) Falci of Elm Grove, WI; and seven grandchildren:   Scott (Norma) Wellentin, Todd (Staci) Wellentin, Paul (Emily) Wellentin, Mathew Wellentin, Andrew (Sara) Falci, Mark (Lori) Falci, and Ellen (Dan) Laubusch; and 8 great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, September 19, 2008 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 401 S. Owen Drive, Madison, with Msgr. Kenneth J. Fielder officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Waunakee. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 517 N.
