Gladys Kripschack

Stoughton- Gladys J. (Ward) Kripschack, age 92, died Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Stoughton Hospital. She was born in Atoka, Oklahoma on October 23, 1929 the oldest of seven children to Roy and Gertrude Ward. Gladys grew up in Deerfield where she graduated from Deerfield High School and was a member of Deerfield Lutheran Church.

Gladys enjoyed being a mom, and a family babysitter, helping to care for her nieces and nephews. She trained several parakeets and a cockatiel named Baby Bird.

Gladys is survived by her son, Matthew Curt Kripschack; grandson, Cooper Albert Kripschack; sister, Elizabeth Jones; and sisters-in-law, Marion and Julie Ward. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; brother, Alan, who died in the Vietnam war serving as a Marine; additional brothers, Dennis, Elwood, and Mike; sister, Dolores Schlueter; and friend Eugene Schmoll.

A celebration of life will be held from 12 noon until 5:00 PM on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at Nora’s II, 1843 US HWY 12, Deerfield.
