Sun Prairie-Gladys was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, who passed away on Saturday, July 25th, 2009. Â She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. Â She is survived by her children Lavonne Whitney and Barbara Wilson. Â Her grandchildren are Dawn Hemner, Diane Rude, Daniel Whitney, Jen Borden, Jodi Borden, Joshua Wilson and Josiah Wilson. Â She also has six great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. Â She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter and her son, Ronald. Â Gladys Miller loved life. Â Among many other things, she loved gardening, her family and the Bible. Â Her gracious, kind and gentle spirit was a gift to any who had the privilege of knowing her. Â She cared deeply about others and was quick to ask how you were doing and carefully listen to the answer. Â She was easy to love. Â Her grace and hospitality were such a lovely part of her and visitors were always warmly welcomed, usually with an offer of tea. Â She was a quietly elegant woman. Â This beautiful lady was born April 9, 1913 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and married Walter Miller on May 7, 1942. Â In 1941 she became one of Jehovah's Witnesses and spent her life telling others about the Bible's hope of an earthly paradise. Â Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 1st at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 5745 Portage Road, Madison, Wisconsin. Â In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family, Summit Credit Union.
