Gladys C. Miller

April 9, 1913 — July 25, 2009

Sun Prairie-Gladys was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, who passed away on Saturday, July 25th, 2009.   She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.   She is survived by her children Lavonne Whitney and Barbara Wilson.   Her grandchildren are Dawn Hemner, Diane Rude, Daniel Whitney, Jen Borden, Jodi Borden, Joshua Wilson and Josiah Wilson.   She also has six great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.   She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter and her son, Ronald.   Gladys Miller loved life.   Among many other things, she loved gardening, her family and the Bible.   Her gracious, kind and gentle spirit was a gift to any who had the privilege of knowing her.   She cared deeply about others and was quick to ask how you were doing and carefully listen to the answer.   She was easy to love.   Her grace and hospitality were such a lovely part of her and visitors were always warmly welcomed, usually with an offer of tea.   She was a quietly elegant woman.   This beautiful lady was born April 9, 1913 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and married Walter Miller on May 7, 1942.   In 1941 she became one of Jehovah's Witnesses and spent her life telling others about the Bible's hope of an earthly paradise.   Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 1st at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 5745 Portage Road, Madison, Wisconsin.   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family, Summit Credit Union.
