Gladys White

Stoughton- Gladys White, age 99, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Nazareth House. She was born in Stoughton on June 15, 1913, the daughter of Carrie Johnson. Gladys graduated from Stoughton High School in 1931. She was married to Donald "Si" White for nearly 50 years before his death in 1982. Together they raised their only son, Richard. Gladys was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and enjoyed knitting, sewing and watching game shows. She is survived by her two granddaughters, Sharon (Scott) Shumway of Martinez, CA and Kristine (David) Hanson of Stoughton. She was preceded in death by her mother; husband; and son, Richard. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, January 7, 2013 at Nazareth House Chapel, 814 Jackson Street, Stoughton, with Rev. Paula Geister-Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Eastside Cemetery. Friends may greet the family from 11:00 AM until the time of services Monday. A special thank you to Nazareth House and Agrace HospiceCare Inc.
