Gloria Mae Henkel

Gloria Mae (Magrecke) Henkel, age 92, of Sun Prairie, WI passed away peacefully on July 16, 2024. She was born on December 6, 1931 in Bayview, WI. Gloria attended West Milwaukee High School where she met and then married her husband, Ken, on November 21, 1953. She and Ken were blessed with two sons, Jeff and Greg.

Gloria was a resident of Greenfield, WI for 50 years before moving to Sun Prairie. Her love for conversation fit well with her sales position selling shoes. Knitting blankets for friends and family kept Gloria busy. She enjoyed spending time with her friends. She adored her nieces and those visits were treasured.

Gloria is survived by her sons Jeffrey and Gregory (Sarah); her sister, Judy (David) Ulma; and sister-in-law, Mary Henkel. She was blessed with grandsons Kurt, Kyle, Jacob and David; and nieces and nephew.

She was preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Helen Magrecke; husband, Kenneth; and brother-in-law Roland.

A memorial service will be held at 11am on Monday, July 29, at St. Alphonsus Parish, 6060 W. Loomis Road, Greendale, WI. The committal will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 3801 W Morgan Ave, Milwaukee, WI.
