Gloria Small

Madison - Gloria J. Small, age 71, of Madison, passed away on May 1, 2012. She was born on August 24, 1940, in Sauk City, the daughter of Donald and Sena (Paepke) Grauvogl. She graduated from Sauk City High School in 1959, lettering in cheerleading and band. She married Terrance Small in 1961. She was employed by Madison Newspapers until she retired.

She is survived by her son, David (Gina) Small; two grandchildren, Terra Small and Vincent Small; four great grandchildren; one brother, Gregg Grauvogl; four sisters, Sheila (LeRoy) Bills, Karen (Alan) Salzwedel, Donna Roidt, and Tammie (David) Smithback; brother-in-law, Randy Knickmeier; nieces and nephews, Todd (Kris) Grauvogl, Lisa (Tim) Peterson, Kurt (Cindy) Bills, Scott Salzwedel, Jason (Deb) Salzwedel, Tracy (Adam) Travis, Jay Smithback, and Rachael Knickmeier; and many great nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Memorials can be directed to the family in Gloria's memory.

Memorial services are being held at Cress Funeral Home, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie on Friday, May 11, 2012 at 6:00 PM. A visitation will also be held at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
