Sun Prairie – Hannelore Goodhue, age 87, passed away on Tuesday October 15, 2024, at her home. She was born September 24, 1937, in Germany to the late Alfred and Babette (Reinhardt) Schlingmeier. She married Vernon Goodhue April 5, 1956, in Germany. She embraced her German culture and music, spending time with her family and friends, gardening, cooking. She enjoyed her travels as a military wife.

Hannelore is survived by her daughters Sonja (Michael) Leahan and Patricia (Scott) O’Dell; grandchildren Alicia O’Dell, Stephanie Leahan, Andrew Leahan, Eric (Ashley) O’Dell; great granddaughter Mackenzie O’Dell; sisters Lottie Urban and Edith Wilhelm; she is further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Vernon Goodhue, parents, infant son Peter, siblings Hettie, Imgard, Inge, Freddy, Anneliese, Erika, Horst and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday October 21, 2024, at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie, WI 53590. Burial in Riverside Cemetery in Seeley, WI will take place at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday October 23, 2024.
