Stoughton- Harlan K. Elvekrog, age 80, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born on January 30, 1941 in Stoughton, the son of Oscar and Pearl (Nelson) Elvekrog. Harlan graduated from Stoughton High School with the class of 1959. He married Suzanne Kittelson in 1961. Together they shared many happy memories, their love for each other was enduring. Harlan had a gift for creating comfort and beauty in people’s homes. He had a passion for hard work and enjoyed helping anyone who asked. Harlan is survived by his wife, Suzanne; daughters, Jodi (Paul) Elver and Amy (Sara Rabe) Elvekrog; son, Eric (Lisa Fahey) Elvekrog; grandchildren, Jessica (Matt) Hynek, Dan (Kelsey) Elver, Alex and Megan Elvekrog, Meredith, Alex and Samuel Thiessen, Colin and Keegan Severn; great grandchildren, Serenity, Zoe, Skyla, Bailey and Brody; sisters, Jane Conner and Kris (Dennis) Swalheim; brother, Paul (Jeannine) Elvekrog; sister-in-law, Jackie Kittelson; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 10, 2021 at First Lutheran Church, 310 E. Washington Street, Stoughton, with Rev. Bill Lehman officiating. Burial will follow in Lutheran Cemetery South. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon, following the burial, in the church fellowship hall. Friends may greet the family from 9:30 AM until the time of services Friday at church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church, or Sons of Norway- Mandt Lodge, 317 S. Page Street, Stoughton, WI, 53589.
