Harold Voigt

Sun Prairie - Harold Robert Voigt, 74, passed away on Monday, July 16, 2012 at Agrace HospiceCare following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on June 18, 1938 in Hustisford, Wisconsin, the son of Herbert and Erna (Goetsch) Voigt. On June 28, 1958 Harold was united in marriage to Arvilla Christian in Lebanon, Wisconsin. For 44 years, Harold loved his work welding stainless steel at Dairy Equipment Company until his retirement. In his spare time he enjoyed playing softball, wood working, gardening, and traveling with his wife. He was also a very devoted and active member of Peace Lutheran Church, where he served at the church in many ways and attended bible studies. Harold was a wonderful husband, dad and granddad. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Harold is survived by his loving wife, Arvilla, two children; Kelly (Linda) of Brighton, MI and Vicki (Tim) Magnor of Sun Prairie, five grandchildren; Jordan, Austin and Whitney Voigt and Kayla and Andrew Magnor, his brother; Chester Voigt and brothers and sisters-in-law; Janet Voigt, Anita and Eugene Borchardt and Delmar Christian and his mother-in-law; Nora Christian. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, brother Donald Voigt, sister-in-law Phyllis Voigt and his father-in-law Arnold Christian. Funeral services will be held at PEACE EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 232 Windsor Street, Sun Prairie on Sunday, July 22, 2012 at 4:00 pm with Reverend Luke C. Werre and Reverend Gregory C.A. Lyon officiating. A visitation will be held at the church on Sunday from 2:00 until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Harold to Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 232 Windsor Street, Sun Prairie, WI 53590 or to the charity of your choice.
