Harrison J. Meyer, age 24, of Chicago, Illinois passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024. Harrison was born on May 8, 1999, in Madison, Wisconsin.
Harrison was a proud UW Badger who earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Political Science with a certificate in Mathematics. He worked as a consultant for the financial data analytics company FactSet.
His interests included playing guitar, teaching himself piano, and driving his Ducati motorcycle. He played tenor and baritone saxophone in high school band, and liked being part of the jazz band.
An Eagle Scout who liked to hike and camp, he also enjoyed planning trips and traveling with friends, as well as taking family trips.
In addition to his parents Joseph and Danielle, Harrison is survived by his brother, Zachary, and sister, Emma. He is also survived by his grandfather, Daniel Meyer and his grandmother, Jane Pawlus along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Memorial service will be held at St John’s Catholic Church 209 South St. on Thurs. April 25, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. A Celebration of Harrison’s life will follow at Rex’s Innkeeper from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.
The family would like to thank UW Hospital staff for their compassionate care and support in the final days of Harrison’s life. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions will be collected by the family and forwarded to a charitable organization of their choosing.
