Harry Joseph Findler

July 29, 1938 — November 20, 2010

Sun City, AZ/ Sun Prairie WI: Harry Joseph Findler, beloved husband for 47 years to Alice Kay (Joy) Findler, survived by two daughters who adored him, Leslie (Mark) Ealy and Susan Bishop, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2010 at the age of 72 after a long struggle with heart failure. He was cherished by five beautiful grandchildren,; Megan, Kenneth and Sydney in Arizona, and Abby and Jordan in Wisconsin, with whom he spent countless hours playing games, fishing, and working on projects.

Harry was born in Milwaukee, WI, on July 29, 1938, to Harvey and Josephine (Krainer) Findler. He graduated from Wauwatosa East High School in 1956 and moved to Madison, WI where he graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison as a civil engineer in 1961. Harry and Alice owned their own family business, Press Weld Corporation, until 1990, where they had the pleasure of meeting and working with many friends.

Some of Harry's favorite activities through the years have included golfing, fishing, snowmobiling, playing cards and games, telling jokes and pulling pranks, watching his grandchildren in their various activities and reading. One of his talents, and where he spent many hours, was in the woodshop creating treasures that he has shared with those he loved. Being an active member of both the Lakeview United Methodist Church of Sun City, AZ and Sun Prairie United Methodist Church in WI had brought Harry much comfort and guidance through the years. Though what Harry enjoyed the most was being with Alice ~ no matter what they were doing. Harry's charismatic personality and easy laugh will be missed by many.

A service to celebrate Harry's life will be held at the Sun Prairie United Methodist Church on Monday, November 29, 2010. A visitation will begin at 10:00 with services to follow at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, Harry would like donations to be made to SPUMC building fund or the Lakeview United Methodist Church Foundation. There will be a second celebration of Harry's life at the Lakeview United Methodist Church in Sun City, AZ at a later date.
