Hart Ruiz-Mcknight

MADISON- Hart Edward Gonzalez Ruiz-McKnight, was born on February 16,1983. At the age of 32 Hart peacefully went to be with the Lord on July 25, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer. Hart was born in Denver, CO and a lifelong resident of Madison, WI. He attended Mendota Elementary, Gompers Middle school and he graduated from West High School in 2001 despite being born with Cri Du Chat syndrome (aka - Lejeune's syndrome). Hart enjoyed working at Pathways where he was employed and created many long lasting relationships along the way.
Hart was raised by his late Grandmother, Lois McKnight. Hart loved to listen to his grandmother play the piano and play the piano himself. He also loved to snuggle and listen to the heart beat and give butterfly kisses which were important to his everyday routine.
He was known for his ability to continue to move and stay active. He was always full of love and curious to know where everything was.
Hart was a loving son, grandson, brother, cousin, uncle and friend. Hart was survived by his mother, Angela McKnight, two sisters, Hope and Elise Holmes, and three brothers, Lawrence Holmes, Donnie Sampson, and Aaron McKnight. Robert ,Timothy ,Walter, Carla and Patricia McKnight were his uncles & aunts. Hart had several niece's, nephew's, and cousins who he grew up with and was loved by all of them. Jamal James, Hart's nephew, enjoyed helping his grandmother take care of him in his last day's given unto us. The family and especially Angela would like to give special thanks to Rene Gibbs for opening up her home to Hart and his family and those assisting Hart with his health care.
