Hazel Marie Olson

Sun Prairie- Hazel M. Olson, age 94, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at Prairie Gardens, Sun Prairie.  She was born on October 13, 1914 in White Sulphur Springs, MT the daughter of William & Bertha (Hamilton) Davidson.  On November 27, 1935, she married Rev. Hugo W. Olson in Okmulgee, OK.  Mrs. Olson was a dedicated pastor's wife who with her husband served the Assembly of God churches in Whitehall, Marinette and Bolvar, MO, and in 1950 moved to Madison.  She lived her life with her husband according to Romans 8:28, ""And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.""  Mrs. Olson attended the Living Hope Fellowship Assembly of God, Sun Prairie. She is survived by her two children, Victoria (Ronald) Montgomery, East Sound, WA and John (Alison) Olson, Sun Prairie;  nine grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Olson, Rio.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on June 28, 1997, her son, Roger and a sister Silvie Richardson. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at the Cress Funeral Home, Sun Prairie with Rev. Louis Boucher officiating. Burial will be in the Spencer Lake Memorial Park, Waupaca, WI.  Friends may call at the funeral home, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday. Memorials to the Spencer Lake Christian Center would be appreciated.
