Hazel Schley

Fitchburg/Mission, Texas - Hazel B. Schley, age 91, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2011, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. She was born in LaCrosse, Indiana on September 9, 1920 the daughter of Benjamin and Pearl (Rinker) Runyon. She was united in marriage on July 4, 1941 in Gilman, Wisconsin to Niles Schley. Hazel was a member of the Eastern Star in Madison. She especially enjoyed her Red Hat Group in Texas. Her hobbies were baking, reading and playing cards.

Hazel is survived by her two daughters, Judy (James) Atkins and Donna (Ken) Renz; grandchildren, Michael, Laurie, Kelly and Linda; great grandchildren, Garret, Kenna, Tiffany and Hunter; a brother, Russell Runyon; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Niles Schley, a son, Robert Schley and a brother John Runyon.

A joint funeral service for Niles and Hazel will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison, on Friday, November 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens in Madison. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
