Helen Marie (Perry) Kerby. Better known as Mama Helen, was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Friday, February 27, 2015 surrounded by her children.

Helen was born on October 14, 1937, one of six daughters, to the late Henry and Charity (Osler) Perry in Boliver, Tennessee.

Helen confessed her faith at an early age. She was baptized at First Baptist Church in Mounds City, Illinois under the leadership of the late Rev. James Buffkin.

Helen was united in holy matrimony on April 17, 1957 to Charles Williams. He preceded her in death.

Helen enjoyed fishing, vegetable gardening, cooking and riding her scooter. She was close to and thoroughly enjoyed the company of all the neighborhood families and their kids.

Helen leaves behind to cherish her memories, her loving children, Linda Williams, Charlie (Katina) Williams, Debra Williams, Bryan (Patricia) Williams; Irma Williams, and Stephanie Williams; sisters, Thelma and Bertha Davis; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, David Williams, and sisters, Hattie Wright and Francis Smithwick and a dear friend, Houston McCall.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Monday, March 9, 2015 at Christ the Solid Rock Church, 1502 Parkside Dr., Madison with the Rev. Everett D. Mitchell presiding. Family will greet friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
