Helen C McLimans

Helen C. McLimans, age 91 of the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI passed away on September 28, 2008.  She was born July 27, 1917 in Monfort, WI the daughter of John and Lillie (Schuster) Mueller.  Helen married John McLimans on June 17, 1939 in Livingston, WI.  She was a Registered Nurse having affiliated at Finley School of Nursing, Dubuque, IA.  She was a life long resident of WI and practised her nursing career beginning as a night nurse in Beaver Dam Hospital; Assistant Head Nurse of OBGYN at Bellin Memorial Hospital, Green Bay; and in private practise with Drs. Crawford & McNeal, Green Bay and as a Private Nurse Consultant statewide.  Helen especially enjoyed helping doctors deliver new infants. She is survived by two daughters:  Jerilyn (John) Crabbe of Green Bay, Renee Despins of Sag Harbor, NY, A son David J. McLimans of Madison, Grandchildren:  Brent (Peggy) Crabb; Terilyn Crabb, Stephanie (Christopher) Despins-Daly; Andrea (Neal) Potischman, Hannah McLimans; Great Grandchildren:  Max Trepanier; Tiffany Duff; Great Great Grandchildren Madeleine and Finn Daly, Eli and Noah Potischman and Gorden Duff.   Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband John McLimans, a World War II Veteran of the United States Marines, two brothers, Charles and Raymond, and a sister Ruth.   A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 PM on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 6101 University Avenue, Madison, WI.
