Helen Schwartz

Verona / Madison - Helen "Ginny" Schwartz, age 89, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2017. She was born March 25, 1928 to Willard and Irene Frontz in Willow Springs Township in Lafayette County. She attended school at Oak Park and Mineral Point. At age 15, the family moved to Calamine and she attended high school in Darlington, graduating in 1946. On December 18, 1948, she married Russel M. Schwartz of Darlington. They resided in Madison where she worked at the University Department of Chemistry for 23 years, retiring in 1990. Since her retirement, she had worked part-time at Odana Chiropractic Clinic and managed Faircrest Apartments. In 1999, she moved to Verona, where she worked at Paul's Classic Cleaners, at Edward Jones Investments, and at the Verona Chamber of Commerce.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russ; her father, Willard; her mother, Irene; brother, Eugene "Gene"; a sister, Geri Jacobsen; a son, Eric; and a step-grandson, Dustin. She is survived by two sons, Rick (Chris) of Fitchburg and Craig of Fitchburg; grandchildren, Kevin, Jaci, Jim, and Kelsie; step-grandchildren, Jessica and Jackie; great-grandchildren, Cody, Xavier and Xzander; and many other family and dear friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 3, 2017 at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held at Sunset Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agrace HospiceCare, 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Fitchburg, WI 53711.
