Henryk A. Walczyk

SUN PRAIRIE-- Henryk A. Walczyk, age 73, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2024.  He was born to Stanislaw and Marianna Walczyk in Poland in 1950.  He immigrated to the United States in 1964.  

In 1969, Henryk enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and ended up making it a 23 year-long career.  He loved being a Marine, and he used to say, “Once a Marine, always a Marine.”  

After retiring from the Marines, he moved to Wisconsin with his wife and son. Henryk enjoyed everything outdoors that Wisconsin had to offer-fishing, hunting, camping, and wildlife photography. 

Henryk is survived by his wife Estella; son Stefano (Sarah) and two beautiful grandchildren.   He is further survived by his sisters Stasia, Mary, and Grace; one brother Jurek; sisters-in-law Krystyna, Donna, Maria, Rosalinda, Seferina (Steve), Consuelo, and Eliza (Kent); and brothers-in-law Lorenzo (Laura), Jose, and Ramiro (Neida).   He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bogdan, Josef, Stefan, Stanley, and Janek.  

Visitation will be from 9:30-11AM on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 2420 St. Albert the Great Drive, Sun Prairie, WI 53590 with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 AM. Henryk will be brought to his final place of rest at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery, 21731 Spring St, Union Grove, WI 53182 with full military honors.
