Herbert Lee Eidson, devoted husband and beloved father, passed away on Sept. 22, 2024, in Verona, Wis.

Herb was born on Sept. 28, 1939, in Comet, Mo. He graduated from Kelso (Wash.) High School and the University of Washington School of Pharmacy. Herb worked as a pharmacist for 46 years in Washington, Colorado, and Wisconsin. He started one of the first hospice centers in Washington state, as well as one of the first Special Olympics teams in the Longview/Kelso area. 

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia Eidson; sons Mark (Lucy) Eidson and Matt (Sarah Miller); grandchildren, Samara Grover (Ethan Grover) and Ray Lauffer; nephews, Brad Tugaw and Dean Eidson; and niece Pattie Chittenden. Herb was preceded by his brother, Darrell Eidson, and sister, Bernice Virgil. 

Per the family's wishes, there will be no services.
