Joe was a member of the American Legion, Benjamin Johnson post and a member of Local 383 Ironworkers while employed by Debco in Janesville.
Herb was thrilled to do the Badger Honor Flight, a long time Packer season ticket holder, enjoyed water and downhill skiing, golfing and grilling/fish boils. Was a master Manhattan mixologist, connoisseur of fine beer and successfully removed from his Bucket List a trip to Oktoberfest, Munich in 2015. Joe enjoyed his grandchildren, gardening and care of his home and lawn.
Surviving are two sons, Jeff (Sandra) Armstrong (and grand-daughters Haley and Kiley) and Bob (Michele) Armstrong (and grand-sons Max and Jacob). Herb was the oldest of seven children and is survived by two sisters, Julie and Susan.

I’m Free
Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life’s been full, I savored much,
Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me,
God wanted me now. He set me free!
Please share your memories of Joe by posting on his Tribute Wall.
