Madison -- Hildegarde S. Frazier, age 92, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010 at HospiceCare. Â She was born March 15, 1918, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Martin and Minnie (Mueller) Schultz. Â Hilde received a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and also a Masters degree there. Â She was a former employee of the Forest Products Laboratory and the University of Wisconsin. Â She is survived by her sister, Dr. Loraine E. Sherman of Arlington, Texas; and by her niece, Cathy Sherman of Grand Prairie, Texas. Â She is also survived by her brother-in-law Leon Orcutt of Madison; her nephew William (Linda) Merz of Madison, and their family; and by her step-son William R. Frazier of Salem, South Carolina, and his children and grandchildren. Â Hilde was preceded in death by her husband, Emeritus Professor William C. Frazier; and by her sister Ruth Orcutt. Â Hilde cherished her family, friends and neighbors who were also her friends. Â She enjoyed reading, especially biographies, history and science. Â She supported organizations that preserved natural resources and their wise use. Â According to Hilde's wishes, there will be no services. Â Hilde's family wishes to thank the staff and ""angels"" at HospiceCare for their wonderful care and support. Â Memorials in Hilde's name may be gifted to The Nature Conservancy, Wisconsin Chapter, 633 West Main St., Madison, WI 53703, or a charity of like vision.
