Madison - Howard H. Brunmeier, age 81, of Madison, died October 10, 2010 at HospiceCare from complications of a stroke. He was born July 6, 1929 in Sheboygan, the son of Frank and Teresa (Knier) Brunmeier. He graduated from UW-Madison in 1954, with degrees in agricultural and civil engineering. Â He served in the US Air Force from 1954 through 1957. He was married to Myra (Rasmussen) at Our Lady Queen of Peace church Aug. 27, 1955. He was employed by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation from 1957 until his retirement in 1995. He was an usher at Our Lady Queen of Peace church and a member of KC's council 4527. He was also a member of American Legion Severson-Cairns Post 501 and the VFW. He is survived by his eight children, Tom(Cheryl) of Maple Grove, Minn., Dan (Tess) of Georgetown, Ind., Terry (Jackie) of Shoreview, Minn., Larry of Anaheim Hills, Calif., Barb (Mike) Palmer of Sleepy Hollow, Ill., Bob (Cyd) of Minneapolis, Minn., Sue (Chuck) Herman of Lake Geneva, Brian (Erika) of Madison, and 15 grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Trudy (Floyd) Petitt of Ormond Beach, Fla. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Myra and grandson, Timothy Brunmeier. Visitations will be Sunday Oct.17, 2010 from 5p.m.until 7p.m. at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Drive, Madison, and Monday Oct. 18, 2010 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at OUR LADY QUEEN OF PEACE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 401 S. Owen Dr., Madison, WI 53711. A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church Monday Oct, 18, 2010 at 11 a.m. Internment will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum, 2705 Regent Street. Memorials may be donated to HospiceCare Inc. 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway Madison, WI 53711.
