Ilse C. Wood, age 70, died unexpectedly Tuesday, July 29, 2008 in her home. Ilse was born February 15, 1938, in Germany, the daughter of Wilhelm and Berta (Kroninger) Steines.

Survivors include 1 son: James L. (Susan) Estorf, Jr. of Marshall; 2 daughters: Jennifer J. Wood of Chicago and Julie C. (Jeffrey) Schneeberg of Madison; 11 grandchildren and 1 sister: Edith (Carl) Hase of Germany. Ilse was preceded in death by 2 husbands: James L. Estorf, Sr. and Gerald G. Wood, Sr., her parents and 1 sister: Lilli Fazekas.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, August 2 at ST. ALBERT THE GREAT CATHOLIC CHURCH 2420 St. Albert Drive with Msgr. Douglas Dushack officiating. Burial will follow at St. Matthew's Catholic Cemetery in Shullsburg Twp. Friends may call from 5 -- 7 pm Friday at the CRESS FUNERAL HOME and again at the Church from 9:30 until time of Mass.
