Jacqueline Rae "Jackie" Collins, 71, passed away peacefully, Saturday, February 28, 2016 surrounded by her family following a long illness.

Jackie was born in Madison to the late John and Evalyn (Heyroth) Gedko. She attended Central High School. On July 26, 1969 she was united in marriage to John Collins. Jackie had a wonderful sense of humor and despite how she felt throughout her illness, she made it a priority to make others feel good with her jokes and lighthearted personality.

Jackie is survived by her daughters, Jeanette (Gary Wahlberg) Collins, and Julie (Carlos Padilla) Collins; grandchildren, Jonathan and Giovanni Padilla; and brothers, Doug (Rose), Terry (Evie), and Fred "Fritz" (Karen) Gedko.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, John (2011).

Funeral services will be held at 6 pm on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Winn-Cress Funeral Home, 5785 Hwy Q, Waunakee. Family will greet friends from 4 pm until the time of service. Burial will be Thursday in St. Lawrence O'Toole Cemetery, Mt. Hope, Wisconsin.
