Jacqueline Marie Peterson

Madison/ Waunakee -Jacqueline Marie Peterson, age 82 years died peacefully at her home in Waunakee on Sunday, December 6, 2009 and was welcomed home into the loving arms of Jesus her Savior. The former Jacqueline Franey was born on October 16, 1927 in Madison to John and Josephine (Kalscheur) Franey. She married Eugene Peterson on July 3, 1946 in Madison. She was employed at Family Services of Dane County for 20 years as office manager. Jacqueline was a precious and nurturing mother of five children. She loved traveling, reading, volunteering, playing cards with friends, and visiting with her grandchildren. She was a huge sports enthusiast and enjoyed following the Cubs, Packers and Badgers. She was a member of St John's Catholic Church in Waunakee. Jacqueline is survived by her five children, Ann Roberts (Michael) of Elkhorn, Thomas of Excelsior, MN, Amy Kaufman (Robert) of DeForest, Timothy (Tracy) of Appleton, Toni Smith (Kevin) of Deforest; 13 cherished grandchildren, Jason, Ryan, Emily, Rachel, Josh, Amanda, Becky, Lindsay, Ty, Gabe, Jacob Lu, Austin and Megan; four nieces and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, John and Josephine, her husband Eugene, her brother Robert and her sister Beverly Cronkrite. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St John's Catholic Church in Waunakee with The Reverend Pat Wendler officiating. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place at Roselawn Cemetery in Madison at a later date. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established to support Porchlite Inc. which seeks to meet the needs of the homeless in Dane County.     Winn-Cress Funeral Home
